Cue question

I have a birdseye maple sledgehammer j/b. I want to change the forearm to purple heart,can the birdseye be stained to match the purple heart of should I think about having another cue or forearm made.
 
Purple heart stain

You can probably get it stained to resemble apurpleheart, but the figure (birdseye) in the wood will show through the stain and may not look right. You will also have to have the cue refinished.

John it would be a waste of time and money to screw with your current cue. I would sell it and just have one made with a Purple Heart forearm. I mean they are product cues anyway, and I am certain Mike G would make you a one of kind for less than it would cost to change this one.

Not all of them, Mike does some specials.

I talked to mike and I can get an ebony cue with purple heart rings,instead of the bacote for 350.Mike wants the same price for a new forearm of purple heart.
