Cue question

I have a few cues,a schon and a troy downey and have another in it's final stages, jump break.I also have a dufferin sneaky pete that was 30 dollars and I'm in love with this cue.Why does this cue seem to hit better than my others?I play a ball better with this cue at least if not more. The cue even breaks better than my sledgehammer that I sold. The reason I ask is that I want a sneaky pete made and don't know how to ask a cue maker to try and duplicate the hit of this cue.Any opinions please.

The hit of that cue can mostly be attributed to the wood, taper, ferrule and tip. A cuemaker might come close to making a cue that hits like it, if he duplicates those things, but very rarely does two pieces of wood hit indentical. So it may hit better or not quite as good, but doubtfully exactly the same.

thanks

The sneaky I want made is going to be purple heart and ebony..This is a different wood combo as the present sneaky so I guess the shaft tip and ferrule would be the focal points.

Here's a pic of what I want..the pic is a cue that bama cues had and I missed.

Unless the price is a price that makes my toe curl. That cue will be with me for a while.I'm having a custom jump break made to match the cue.:D :D

I hate to have to break the bad news to you, but using ebony for a forearm wood will not hit anything like the Dufferine. You will have to use a maple forearm to have any chance of duplicating that hit.

Thanks

I was told this in a pm.I will use purple heart/ebony in the butt or maple in the forearm/with purple heart in the butt.Kinda like danny harrimans cue.
