Just wanted to know if anyone has had the same thing happen...I had

a old Meucci..Star of David..redone and now the butt is warped..it was

razor straight together and apart before the work was done..it appears

to be at the joint because when you roll it the tip does not leave the

table..but at the joint its rising about 1/8 th of an inch or more..it does

have the covered wrap..any thoughts..thanks

There is always that possibility. Its rare but it can happen. There probably wasn't anything the refinisher did wrong, it may have just had some internal stress or trapped moisture. One the old finish was removed, the cue may have moved.

It could also be the face, which is more common. Check to see if the faces of the butt and the shaft are clean. Sometimes, overspray gets on them causing the shaft to push one way or the other.

Face looks good..and the pin appears straight..used a verneer caliper to
measure it side to side..within 5 thousands..so maybe moisture..wow..
that sucks..thanks for your imput..

Give it some time and it may move back. The joint bumping isn't going to affect the playability.
