I bought this purple heart plain jane cue for a pretty low price, and planned on using it as a break cue, but man I love the way it hits. Its not a high dollar cue, so I can take it to a bar or other places where I wouldnt want to take my Schon. However, as great as it hits, the more I hit with it, the more the joint collars get messed up. They are slightly off center, and it looks like they are starting to compress and the outside is chipping off. So I guess my question is, can this be repaired or replaced, and how much should something like this cost? There is a local cue maker here that most have not heard of, and he is pretty good, but I wanted to get multiple opinions first. Also, it has a spot for a weight bolt, but no bolt. Are weight bolts a common size, or do they vary in tpi? Its a no name cue, looks like someones early attempt that didnt turn out like they wanted. sorry the pix are not very good. thanks for any info.
