how did old cue builders keep their cue shafts from warping when the were making them?:smile:

Easy answer...they didn't, the tree growth keeps the shaft from warping. The cuemakers used to select only top grade straight grain wood that would absorb and release moisture evening, thus negating the imbalance that would cause a warp. And the fact they aged the 2nd cut blanks for years didn't hurt either.
