cue shopping,what to buy?

lol,i spoke too soon , i just checked my email and ozone billiards said out of stock until 8/1/05! should i just wait a few days and get the jos07 ? its $335 ,wait til 8/1/05? thanks in advance.

Not a bad choice at all. I like the 01 myself.

Ebay is usually cheaper, but a greater risk of getting screwed. Hope the cue works out great for you, I've never had a joss I didn't like.

if you don't mind not having a wrap...a sneaky-pete cue from Bob Dzuricky is only $250 w/ 1 shaft and it'll play just as well if not better than a joss imo. the wood will be nicer and the tip will be pretty much your choice. check em' out at "www.dzcues.com"

what's this mean?

That some bonehead was going to come out of the woodwork and be the first kid on the block to recommend a sneaky pete from some cuemaker that makes cues out of his garage and has "custom cuemaker" on his business card. It never fails...it's inevitable. The only question is...who willl it be?
Mike needs to set up some betting system on this with vdollars.

what?

first of all...you wouldn't call me a "bonehead" to my face, and you obviously know nothing about Dzuricky. He makes them out of the garage of his home and he's earned the title "custom cuemaker". if you were any kind of gentleman, you would not assume such things. Hooray for the internet guys/girls, as such a "bonehead" can make these comments to people they do not know.

Wow, you really have some chip on your shoulder there fella.

Listen...if ANYBODY needs to stay clear of me and my posts, it's your trouble making big mouth and moronic ass. One would think you'd have learned some kind of lesson by now, but you still prove yourself to be the stupidest f#@K on here. Get lost and don't EVER respond to me and I'll do likewise with you.
Go get your own little group of asswipes like you had on your shitty little forum that follow and worship you, such as the now banned Spartan.

Well, if you bought me a beer and we were just bullshitting, I probably wouldn't call you bonehead. But that's not to say I wouldn't otherwise.
I know who Dzuricky is...and thanks for verifying that he works out of his garage. Duh..... Tell me...why do you think a Joss won't feel or play as good? Describe the two sensations and differences between them that make a DZ better. Do you mean you'll make less balls with a Joss? Do you mean you'll get lousy position or action with the CB? Do you think a Joss feels like crap?

It's not the cue it's the player. I saw David Broxson playing a match against Scotty Townsend in the late 90's at Starcade Billiards in Ft. Walton Beach FL. At the time, David shot with a beat up Joss Sneaky Pete (and if anyone knows David he shoots LIGHTS OUT). Scotty's backer bet David something like $2000 or something that David wouldn't get to 5 in the race to 9. David had the first break (broke and shot with the Joss) and opened up with a 6 pack before Townsend got to the table.

When Eddit Taylor was trying to hustle MOSCONI of all people into a game of banks..he didn't pull out some expensive cue. He went to the wall. People need to quit worrying about so called "custom" cues, and worry about the game and learning how to make balls. Many of the best players I've seen played with factory sneaky petes...just because it says 'custom' doesn't mean it will make you shoot any better.

Just my two cents....

I'm so glad you said that..., I would have to agree with you on that 100 percent.

Just my two cents also....

That is just how I came up. It was almost a point of pride in saying, " I don't need a fancy cue. I can bust you with this house cue."

I used to put a little burn mark on the house cues I liked so I could recognize them when I was running all around the walls trying to find one to shoot with (when I was 17 yrs old..LOL). I finally broke down and bought a Meucci Sneaky Pete...and from there who knows how many cues I've owned.

Now I shoot with the ugliest Bob Frey cue, plain, steel joint, and wrap. Shoots as good as the $1500 Scruggs I owned...but ugly as sin. :) Doesn't scare anyone though..LOL.
