I've heard about something cold cue stick aiming system. It's about using the cue stick to contact point or something. Does anybody knows that system? I think Hal Houle teaches this but I couldn't find any explanation of it. Does anyone use it? How does it work?

Yes, CUE-TECH Pool School in Dallas, Tx. teaches a system called S.A.M.

It's all about using your cue stick to aim with as opposed to the cue ball. S.A.M works for Ball Pocketing, Caroms, Combos & Banks. Probably the best "aiming" system available.........SPF=randyg

Stick aiming is S.A.M.? Ok then I've got something wrong. What system is that one where you aim with your cue or ferrule at the CONTACT POINT?

If you measure you ferrule it should be 1" plus the tip will be 1 1/8". Line the tip up with the contact point and note where the back part of the ferrule is. It will be 1 1/8" away, the radius of the cue ball. Make a mental note of where this spot is on the table. Shoot the center of the CB at this point.
