I'm sure they will allow you to demo if you can get to their shop. E.G. McDermott have an excellent shop/test facility. Or if you were to pay for 4 cues including postage and return without damage.
I doubt that any cue maker / manufacturer would send you 4 cues to test. Or put another way, send you a minimum retail stock of $1000.00 to test.
Personally with SBE 16 just 4 months away, I'd wait and get to the Expo. All the cues in the world to test all day long without having to commit to the purchase. :thumbup:

Knowing that if I sent a person four cues, they would like every single one of them, I have one simple question.
WOULD YOU PAY FOR ALL FOUR?

I believe the OP is just looking for a demo program like you would find at most golf courses. They generally have designated demo clubs for customers to try. If I want a new driver I can drive to the course grab a demo Titliest, Ping, Callaway and Taylor Made. Head to the range hit them all and make my choice.
I am always surprised most of the larger pool cue manufactures don't offer this service. Unfortunately you have to travel to a larger event like the SBE or a league national championship in Vegas to just try out cues.
Most Pool Cue manufactures have at least one Pool Table to try them out on, just like your example of going to the Golf Course.
I wonder if Ford will send the four GT-40's to my House.
It's not as crazy as you seem to be trying to imply. My guess is he plays tennis. Tennis Warehouse is a large seller of racquets and they have a program precisely like this. For the cost of shipping they'll send you up to 4 different racquets to demo for a week or two. You then send them back when you're done. These are specific racquets that are part of their large demo fleet. It really is a cool program, I used it a couple times when I was playing tennis to figure out what I liked and wanted to purchase.

It's becoming more and more popular in all aspects. Video games, movies, tennis, and I was part of the same type of thing with Ebonite for bowlign balls.
For video games and movies you pay a monthly fee and have a cc on file, if you keep them past a certain period you own it and they charge you for it.
For bowling we had to pay shipping and the cost to drill the ball. If we decided we didn't like it and didn't want to keep it you had to pay to have it replugged. Same drill, you had a cc on file incase you wanted to keep it or there was damage. The bad part of that program was if you were later on the list for a certain ball you could get one that's been plugged 3-4 times and it didn't look great but I ended up buying more than I sent back.
I could definetly see something like this working for the big companies such as McD, Players, ect. If a cue gets damaged you own it so they will sell cues that way, people might find multiple cues they like so they will buy more, you cold associate a monthly fee bringing in a little extra income. I just don't see it running to the higher dollar cues. This would mainly be the 100-300 dollar options I would think.
I doubt any custom makers are going to do what you want through the mail. But if you are near Georgia you are welcome to try my cues in person. As mentioned Ozone also allows demos at their retail location in Kennesaw if you are looking for something lower end to mid range in price.
