Hi does anyone know of any companies prefrebly in australia that sells cue hardware other than cuestik.com, also does anyone know of books or videos available other than the ones from chris hightower as the shipping charges plus the book will end up costing me around 300 american dollars

That is $105 American Dollars shipped postal express insured. Not sure what that is in Australian dollars, but surely they won't charge $195 taxes and duties.

Book $69.95 plus shipping express $35.05 = Total $105.
Book and 2 Videos $150 + Shipping $39 = Total $189.
We had a major mis-communication. The $105 included shipping for a book with no videos. $189 includes shipping for book and videos.

Well worth the price I just received mine (book & Videos) and have learned well more then the money I had to spend to get them. THANKS CHRIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have purchased Chris' book and both videos! I have learned so much from after reading and watching them. I also own a Mid Size Cue Smith lathe and love it (for now). I may be in the market for a Deluxe model soon. I have met Chris personally and shared numerous phone conversations with him. Chris is a good person to work with and get advice from. Give him a try!

Why not go to the PI?

Joel,

If you live in Australia, why not take a short vacation to the Philippines? I have been there many times, and the cuemakers work in the heat with simple machines, yet their cues are stunning. I am sure you could take a short vacation and pay one of these cue makers to show you the basics. After that, it is creativity and quality control. Now I am not a cue maker, but I am a woodworker. I have ordered Chris's books and learned from them. Still, if I were in your shoes, the PI is the place to go. When you finish your work for the day in the PI, you will find your share of heaven at night also. Enjoy life my friend, it is the perfect solution for you. If you want some further info on where to go, etc. just let me know. Regards,

Rod.
