Cue to chin

I can tell I am in stroke when my chin just naturally gets on the cue. If I have to concentrate/think about it I know I am off.

I used to have a large goatee that I had forked into two tails, split right at the chin. Back then I could 'dust' the cue when I was on and strokin good. :)

There is a guy in our league his goatee gets split down the middle after shooting his match lol

I tend to agree. I feel that I get a better look at my targets on both CB and OB that way. I can't help but notice that when I'm playing my best, I'm getting closer to the cue. I WISH I could get as close as I used to but since my 70th birthday...

if you cannot have chin touch cue, shoot those long shots with long bridge to cancel squirt; it would help to dedicate your first few warm up strokes to check cue alignment and how it moves back and fourth by looking at shaft and how it approaches CB; then when you think it is straight continue warm up while aiming, pause and follow through. Loose dangling wrist and loose grip help keep cue in line like a plumb-bob (Bustumanti grip).

A pro player one time told me, if you seem to have bad stroke do not change just change your aim to accommodate, bad advise but good work around if you always miss the same way (either over cut, or under cut)
