******This in not a for sale ad******

Hey all, I'm finding myself in a position that I hate to be in but i need to sell my pool cues to get out of a jam. My wife left right before the hollidays and I'm stuck holding a lease that I can't afford on my own...I know what I paid for everything but I have no clue what used values are based on condition. I have a Greg Kucharski "ivory chain" cue with 2 shafts that has been my every day player for the last 6-7 years (it has a split but cap that's just glued on but it still hits great...the other issue with the cue is the joint needs to be refaced to be straight again...the shafts both roll pretty straight but are not perfect...i see zero roll in the butt) This cue has 4 cocobolo points on a curly maple fore arm with 4 vaneers , ivory diamonds in each point with a brown leather wrap...below the wrap the cocobolo butt sleeve has 4 ivory windows with an ivory diamond in each window. Right above the butt cap there is an ivory chain and a couple ivory rings...ivory ferrules on both shafts and ultraskin hards...as soon as I figure out how to post pics from my phone I will but until then heres the cue on the makers web site http://www.gregskues.com/?p=182

Going with the cue is a buffalo leather instroke 3x5 case in decent shape... Its well worn but hasn't been abused.

A rage sneaky pete (unknown weight because the weight bold has been removed id guess it to be approx 16-17 oz and it has a medium layered tip (don't remember the tip brand))

A frog jump cue (no masse shaft)

What do you think is fair to ask for the packsge? Any and all help is appreciated ...feel free to PM

Thanks

Shaun

The buffalo lnstroke might be worth $200 if it's in really good condition.
The cues aren't worth very much, maybe $100 for both
Your local pool room would be the best place to sell the cues, maybe Ebay.
The case might sell here on AZ.

$100 for both???....really? I find it hard to believe a split butt cap and some facing roll make the GK worth nothing....the frog and the sneaky Pete I could see thst being the case...

Sorry, $100 for the jump cue and the Rage sneaky.
I would have to see pics of the other cue

I have a question for you.... Im in Ct and i play at shooters. I spoke to Greg the other day and Im having him replace a tip in the next day or so. Alot of the guys have his cues and they say hes really good at his craft. Theyre all buddies tho. Ive seen his work and it looks immaculate. My question is how do his cues play??

This one hits good enough that my schon stl 15 got tossed aside on the spot...best hitting cue I've ever owned....

This sucks big time. Sorry to hear about your troubles and hope you get decent prices for your belongings.

You should try and contact Greg. See if hell buy it back. Fix it. Then maybe he can resell. Sorry about what happened btw!!

I'm hoping I can maybe keep the rage sneaky just so I have something to hit a ball with here and there...I may contact Greg to see if he's interested...I just don't know what's fsir. We don't have a pool room here so my chances of selling it locally are slim to none (no really serious players out here...)

I'll try my best to get current pics up tonight...anyone know how to post pics from a phone?

I'm not looking forward to selling this stuff at all but its about my only option..

This is the cue before the split butt cap when I posted it here in the cue and case gallery...
I'm still trying to get some good shots of the current condition (all that's changed from these pics is the butt cap)
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=340078

Someone can replace the buttcap for about $50 if they want. I don't know what Greg's cues go for but that's a nice cue. For mid grade customs, though, resale can easily be half of the original cost, then deduct obvious repair costs.

I might suggest trying to raise some cash or fix your living situation any other way before selling your possessions. Maybe a roommate? Worked for me when I was between marriages long ago.

Ive got 5 months left in a lease that has me strapped...I'm on a fixed income (90% from the VA) and she drained the account before she left...my lease allows no subletting and I'm stuck in the respect that caneling the lease will cost me every penny that the remaining rent plus my $1100 deposit... I'm just trying to keep the power turned on...all ive got left is my cues my dog, my jeep and my boat...wrong time of year to sell the boat and the jeep is my only vehicle.... Trust I dont want to sell any of it but im not seeing another way out (trust i have job apps out all over)...

Would someone be willing to post these pics for me if I send them in a text? I can't get it to work but I'd like to make sure the condition of the cue is known so I can figure out what a fair asking price is...just want to be fair all the way around so that who ever ends up with it has zero surprises and is happy with the transaction... Thanks

Shaun
