Cue worth restoration, or not?

I had asked if the Huebler Cue Company was still in business yesterday. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=61927

As I got what I will call a Huebler base model cue yesterday at a garage sale. Cue has a Black Butt Cap with the Huebler logo/info in great condition, no ring work, linen wrap that needs replacing, nice Birdseye Maple Butt & Forearm, and could use a 13 mm new shaft.

The butt section rolls straight, that shaft has only a sight wobble, it need a new Joint, ferrule, and tip. Look as it is was stored in a smokey room for years as it is very grimy.

I am wonder if what I call a base model cue is worth the price of restoration, and a new shaft. As I believe it would make a nice cheap cue to take to bars.

I checked the the Huebler web-site, and have zero idea as the value of this cue?

Any ideas as to the value? Any ideas as to restore or not, or should I spend the $10.00 to send it to Huebler for a better guess.

****you must please excuse my poor spelling, as I am still trying to master english, like master pool.

No, it isn't

Worth it. A restoration with new wrap will run you $110-$130, new ferrule and tip about $40, I hate to think about new joint, especially with the plastic insert Huebler uses. And those cost alone are probably more than the cue originally was worth.

It's your money, but I sure wouldn't bother.

Another alternative would be to get a new shaft from Mueller's. For a new shaft (includes ferrule and Le Pro or Triangle tip) and new linen wrap, you're looking at $115.00 plus shipping. I didn't look up the cost to replace the joint, but you could do that yourself easily at Mueller's site. You could also ask some of the good competent cuemakers / repairmen on the forum for a quote.

If you post some good clear pics of the cue I'd be glad to look in the 3rd edition of The Blue Book and see if it's listed and what they say it's worth.
