I hear you guys always talk about trashing cues that didnt end up well. This may be a random question, but If you makers trash a cue, any way to buy it from you? If anyone has something that fits the bill PM me
You are right. For example: Meucci used to go ahead and sell their seconds, but would cut a groove or two in them to signify it was a second quality cue. Most of the public has no idea and they think that is the quality of their cues period. I have even seen a customer that had their second worked on and insisted the repairman cut the grooves in it, as they had never noticed them. So it seems detrimental to put a second out there. Also odd dimension cues come back to haunt you also, as it seems the odd cue gets shown to more people and they think you build all your cues that way.KJ Cues said:Mr. McCoy,
Be careful of what you wish for. LOL.
Also, by the time a cuemaker comes to the conclusion that what he has is only worthy of the fireplace, he's not likely to let it out of his shop. This business is all about reputation. Even with no name on it, there's always a story that goes with it.
