Thought I would share some information that can be extremely beneficial to a cuemaker trying to keep up about people talking about him, his website, or a particular product name of his.
go to: http://www.google.com
click on 'more >>' towards top right above the box.
click on 'even more' within drop down box.
click on 'Alerts' in top left corner.
Now, you can input a term to seach for, whether it is your name, last name, website name, or perhaps the name of your Break and/or Jump cue, or some other thing that you want to track on the internet.
Now select either 'daily', 'as it happens', or 'weekly'.
Fill in a email address you want the information sent to.
and that's it. You will receive an email on the frequency you choose, with all references to your search item that are listed on the internet.
You simply click on the references you are interested in (could be just someone mentioning your name or website on a forum), and it will take you
to the reference where you can read and decide what to do then.
This is a simple way to keep up with all the information about you, your business, products, and get a response to the ones waiting for it. This will save you time over just trying to browse through different websites or forums.
I currently use this to track 'billiards' and 'Wichita State' (Basketball fan too) on a daily basis.
