Cuemakers who do really dark brown shafts?

I have a Tulipwood custom with a brown shark skin wrap that I think would look really good with a dark brown shaft like the one pictured on the left. I've reached out to the guy who made this one as he lives about an hour from me, but have heard nothing yet (it's through Facebook, so it may take a while). I'm also interested, if possible, in having the ring work taken off one of the original shafts and put on the new shaft to enhance the look. Who are some reasonable people I could work with if I can't get a response from the other guy?

I would check with Jacoby, they can make you a keilwood shaft with any joint and probably match the ring work without destroying an existing shaft.

Just a heads up if you didn't already know, it's extremely likely your cue would play/hit very differently with a keilwood shaft than it does with its current shaft. Like Skor mentioned, it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to see if a cue maker could just make the shaft with matching ringwork rather than swapping it from the existing shaft. Because once you have that ringwork removed from the existing shaft you'd not be able to go back.

When I ordered the cue I had the maker use an OB shaft for one of the two shafts that came with the cue. A silly idea in retrospect as I just don't care for that shaft and never use it. It would be no loss to me to get rid of it. The maker's normal shaft, which is the better player for me, would still be kept whole.

Also, I have a FUZE Kielwood hybrid shaft on another cue and like it quite a bit. I figure a well made KW would perform nicely on this custom (and it should look amazing in a deep dark color).

The ring should be oversized as it turned down to get to the right size. It would be impossible to switch the ring work and get a good accurate work.

How 'bout RJH Custom
