I am sure this has been discussed many times on this forum but as a new boy I am interested to know your views on the various brands out there...

I want to know what cues you love, what cues you hate....who you think makes the best jump cues, break cues you name it....I want to hear it about cues.....

I personally play with a Meucci Gambler 2 and break with a Bunjee Blaster break cue.....

i think custom cues are the way to go for a playing cue if you can afford it. you get EXACTLY what you want.

so i play with a custom cue

i break with a gilbert jump/break cue, with a sledgehammerlike phenolic tip/ferrule.

and i jump with a jacoby jumping james II jump cue.

thanks

Definitely other - this here Filipino Dippin Dots cue is the best cue on the planet (and surprisingly, it's available for sale...)

I can't see how you could put a bear cue in this group of cues since all the others are factory made and a bear cue is hand made and a full splice at that , maybe you should of put a palmer cue in your list instead.

Are talking about the Bear cues from Germany?

I think that philipino cue leaves alittle to be desired in the looks department....lol

There are 2 different Bear cues. Mark Bear creates hand made customs and there is Bear cues out of Germany which are production. Probably talking about the latter.

This all depends on how much you want to spend. If you are talking say $350 or higher then custom would always be my advice. Lower than that, from what I hear, Joss, Viking, McDermott are good bangs for the buck.

Other - Schon, or Falcon

On a side note i think Bear Cues are actually Falcon's. I heard that before.

Yes, I think so too. I think Bears are sold only in Europe and none of them available in America.

I've had two Bears over the years and I think they are quite good for production cues. The hit is nice and have never seen one warping. Bear is a quite popular cue in Europe. If you take a look at the wpc site, many European players play with a Bear cue.

Other

Schon, Scruggs, Dzuricky, Southwest, and a cast of hundreds

In a pure retail production type cue Schon and Joss do make nice hitting cues.
