Cues at valley forge!

ChantChamp

Who wanna bid $1000...
The venue is fantastic! There are more cues under one roof than I have ever seen! I for one am more impressed with the new cues from Andy Gilbert than anybody else. Andy has always done great work but this year he has raised the bar. He sold his top end cue for $9,500 and should have asked at least $10k. Kuddos to Andy! (and one of the nicest guys in pool.)

Jerry McWorter sold all his cues but one during the first day and a half and had to get some of his cues from the dealers to show at his booth.

Chris Nitty sold 8 really nice cues on the first day and took orders for quite a few more.

Art Cantando showed up today and had his 4 high end cues ranging from $5k to $10k sell within about an hour and a half. Another of Art's cues sold on the secondary market in 7.5 minutes. I'd say the demand for Art's work clearly outpaces the supply.

Rick Chudy showed up with some outstanding examples of his unique work as always.

This is always one of the best true cue shows of the year and this year has not disappointed. Many of the world's top cue makers are not in booths but have been making the rounds and creating a buzz.

More to come tomorrow....

Eurowest sold out of their cues on the 1st day.

Jerry Olivere (That's not the right spelling but I can't think of the correct spelling right now. It's pronounced Oliv-ee-ay). He sold a $5000 cue first thing yesterday & then a $3000 cue first thing today.

Eydie was kind enough to walk around with me & get people to donate things for our AZ raffle. I believe Stealth is going to give us a cue for this. I'll make a post when I get home on Sun with all the things that have been donated by folks for the raffle.

Meucci

I have to agree the cue eye candy was stunning.....Dennis Coulter was shooting a $4000.00 Viking that was all inlays of Ivory and turquoise...a thing of beauty....Even Jack Madden had to give it a closer look.....

But what is going on over at Meucci???? I visited their booth and it was lined up with factory seconds!!! Sticks with imperfections that they were trying to unload......Why would anyone lay down any kind of money on a "Gambler" with blurry dice spots or no dice spots a blurry logo and "FACT SEC" emblazoned on the forearm.....I'd be embarrassed to shot with it in public.......

I mean isn't this the Biggest trade show in the east? Doesn't it make sense to bring out your BEST and Newest product.....I know that's what my company does when we do industry trade shows....

I have lost a lot of esteem for Meucci.....Bob should purge the management and institute a quality process or he's going to be selling shoes at the mall.......

but that's just one Bangers opinion....
