There are more cues out there than I can have. In no order here are my Top fifteen, ten of which I have either owned or played with in the past, 5 I am going by reputation and general observation of threads here.

Barry
Joel
Schick
Stroud
Kiekel
Gina
Blackbore
Scruggs
Auther
Hayley
Tas
Southwest
Searing
Bender
Perry Weston

These are my top 15 living cue makers. I have settled on 5 due to $$ and availability. Unless I win a lottery I am done. Of course I have 2 or 3 cues by less known if not less accomplished makers.

My 5 are

Bender- Alaska is home need to support the locals, and a heck of a cue
Hercek- Soon
Gina- Had Tas on the list but saw a Gina that spoke to me
Searing- lacking only the wrap
Southwest-2012, Traded one for part of the Bender

Bender, Ebony and Curly Purple Heart, Ivory
Searing, Jamician Cocus and Maple, Ivory
Gina- Ebony and Maple, Hoppie, Stainless
Hercek- To be determined
Southwest- To be determined

I dont think anyone would go wrong with a cue from any of the names above

the Louvre ?

The cuemakers you list are not only craftsmen, they are artists of the highest caliber. Their sticks should be framed and hung on the walls of the elite like paintings. Thank god The Smithsonian recognizes the art.:)

You both have Valid points the makers I mentioned are artist, and I have never hit with a Lambros cue but I have never heard a disparging comment about them and Ill grant he could also be in the list with little if any conflict. I have never seen or hit with a Josey but i have heard good things about him as well. The list is just mine but 90 percent of the makers on that list have paid dues and have 20 yrs plus exsperiance at thier craft.

That's how collecting has always gone for me. I start out wanting to experience as many of the reputable makes as I can. I eventually get my fill, then narrow down to my top few.
