PM me a quote on ball cleaner. I once thought of making my own. There are detailed instructions on this very site but never made one. How well do they clean?

I've had the best cleaner in the world, for about 30 years, and they work very well.

It never fails, when someone is trying to make his living, here on AZ, there's always someone to knock it...

As far as Sheldon's post above, I, do not knock others trying to make a living, selling there goods, as Sheldon just did me. I grind out my living with ball cleaners, cues and machinery, if you want something cheap, and that's not built right or built to last, and with carpet, for a pad, [which cuts into the balls],spend whatever, or buy the best out there, that has proven it's self for years and years...

The ones on you-tube are no way anything as mine, there's [sheldon's and others], have the balls rubing together with carpet, and turtle wax. Wax is a no-no. wax will gather dirt, chalk, and anything that comes into contact with the table, you and the pool balls, carpet is abrasive, and WILL cut the balls over time. Windex, tears down the phonlic, over time, I use and sell, only polish that's made for the material that the balls are made of, [phonlic].

Yes, I know what I'm talking about, I invented my machine, it's not a copy or a cheap cleaner, I've sold over 13,000 cleaners over the years, world wide.

I was also, the equipment guy for the mens pro tour and Mizaerak's senior for many years, my cleaner was at all these events, and did what it was designed for, and the guy on you tube is mistaken about the price, $700.00 BULL CHIT, mine go for $500.00 guranteed for one year on all moving parts....

Can you folks imagine that the top players in the world would want there pool balls cleaned in a 5 gallon bucket, all click-and clacking together, rubbing together and getting out of round.. Don't think so..

You claim to have come out of retirement to make cues.
Now you are grinding out a living making ball polishers all of a sudden?
Since when is this forum your own private store? It's a PUBLIC place where ideas and knowledge is SHARED, not hoarded and profited from.

Yes, I 'm back making cues, as well as ball cleaners that I've been building for 30 years, and cue machinery....you must be fairly young, if you didn't know I, was building ball cleaners for so long...I'm not hording this site, sir, just stating facts, all who come here, [cue makers alike] with there name in print, are advertising in some manor..

As far as sharing knowledge, give out good infomation, and nothing will be said, but cleaning balls in a bucket, with carpet, and wax, please..

I see nothing said when some of my friends try to sell there goods here, nothing is said by you or others. Look around at the posted stuff here, many items for sale.....from cues to tips, to sanding mandrels, on and on.....a store for many guys....
go start a fight with someone else....
were done, pal...

Sheldon... this was a thread put up by Blud to make an announcement that he was coming out of retirement to make cues, ball cleaning machines and cue making machines.

Your post attempted to cut into his business by knocking his ball cleaning machines and promote others. I don't know that you intended it to be that way but your intention doesn't matter, as the effect your post could have might damage his business. In practice, you hijacked his thread and knocked his product. That's a fact.

Imo, You owe the man an apology and you need to erase your post.

There is certainly no shortage of B.S. on this forum. This is a gross understatement.

I have a great deal of respect for you, Sheldon. You usually manage to stay on the right side of issues, and have contributed greatly to the general knowledge here.

There are claims and there are facts. Leonard hasn't claimed anything. He has simply stated facts. That is what he does. I can think of at least fifty facts about him that the people here would find unbelievable. For that reason, they won't be stated, but will remain facts.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion and mine is that you're out of line in this thread. We've already run off enough valuable resources from this forum with senseless altercations.

Lee promotes products (arguably wrong to do it) and no one says a thing. Do you really think it's necessary to hijack blud's thread to promote your ball cleaner? That's just not classy.

Anyway, I hope this thread either takes a positive direction or dies a sudden painless death.

Blud's as cool as they come.

Sorry, I didn't knock anyone's product. Nor am I promoting anything of my own. If you want to see that way, that's your fault not mine. Bubsbug mentioned instructions for building one, and I followed it up with some that I found. In case no one noticed, the forum is called "Ask the Cuemaker", not "Advertise your Product".
I can't seem to recall where I mentioned a $20 ball cleaner being what the pros use, or even how anyone would compare a homemade contraption to a professional unit. :nono:

Thank you for your reply sir. I must admitt that at first I wondered what kind of micky mouse contraption you had. Judging from your acertiveness and cofidence it sounds like a top notch ball cleaner. In the past I have price them around $500. Im assuming that yours is similar to one of those. This is a bit out of my price range as I am not a room owner. Again thank you.

I feel that Sheldon did not nock you product in any way shape or form. He did offer alturnative products that might be suitable. He never said that your product was crap, or that I shouldnt purchase yours. He simply listed information that was already out there. If anyone owes anyone an apology I would have to say that you owe sheldon one because you jumped to conclusions based on you own emotions, because you know that you do make a seperior product.

Let all calm down and not take things so personal. Sheese!!

This is what I would say is a top of the line cleaner. I have a friend who has one of these and it works very well. It would be nice to have one of my own. About 6 months ago I bided on one at an auction and let it get away from me at $125. I wished I could go back in time. I did however get a 9-foot diamond and light professional series for 1K.

i have a ball cleaner from blud. works great but i had to make a few adjustments myself. it wasnt the first one i had this problem with this machine. balls becoming projectiles is not good for buisness.

blud if you do start making ball cleaners again you should deff raise the deck a little higher so the top is at or over the middle of the ball. the part with all the holes in it that lifts up. i dont know if you call it the deck. anyways i raised it up about 1/4 inch and it ran much more smoothly. balls didnt jump out of the machine and hit the plexigalss 1000mph after i did that

Hello Dave, looks like we could of left a spacer out, between the motor and the turn table, sorry for that.

Bubsbug,

Please try to understand that when a man posts a thread about products he sells it is in bad taste for somebody to come along and post about a competing product. If they want to talk about the competing product they should start another thread. It's just etiquite, decency, gentelmanliness, fairness in competition... whatever you want to call it. When you post about a competitors product or recommend some other product in the same thread as that which was put up by a product manufacturer you ARE knocking their product and hijacking their thread. It ain't right. That's the point. Use what you want. Talk about it all you want. But talk about it in a seperate thread rather than going out of your way to knock another guys product.
