Anyone know what size T-Slot nuts work on the Cuesmith cross-slide? Or even better where I will be able to pickup a batch of them!

Since it is a CueSmith lathe I am sure that Mr. Hightower would be happy to sell you what you need. They are also available from Taig tools for $.10 ea. + postage, for the cold steel black finish, or I have them in stainless steel @ $.20 each + postage. Or you can purchase them from most hardware stores or suppliers. They are 10 - 32, 3/8 x 3/8 wide, 1/8 thick. I hope this information is helpful.

I brought some 3/8 wide X 1/8 thick steel strip. I cut to the length required and then drill and tap M5 in my case. So instead of using 2 short nuts, I use 1 long nut that is taped each end. It makes putting attachments onto the cross slide very easy indeed. I did try the extruded Ali, but it was very soft and so changed to the steel.

Thank you everyone for the fast response!!!

I was unaware that Chris would have them as everything is supplied with the standard square nuts. So I threw the question into the loop! I will check the local hardware stores just didn't know the exact measurements and was trying to avoid buying one of everything that "looked" close... I have don't this in the past, even thought about taking my spare cross-slide in with me for fitting!

Thanks again!!!!

I thought you were asking about the square nuts. I also have t nuts that I use on my router mounts that will work with tool posts.
