Cuetable help...
I know a good number of people struggle with cuetable and getting it to post in their threads.
Here's a couple of tips that might help.
____ Getting to the Table
When you get to http://www.cuetable.com there's a couple of links in the upper right corner of the page. 1 for a bar box size table, another for a 9ft. table.. and a 3rd for a 3cushion table..... select your table and left click.
If you're using Firefox or IE it's going to be pretty much the same thing. It's going to ask you to download an Active X control..... or it's going to say something about a pop up message couldn't be displayed in a skinny yellow bar at the top of the page. Just click on the yellow bar and a drop down menu should appear... then click Allow Cuetable.com popups
Then hit F5 on the keyboard and it should refresh the page... click on the same link for 7ft, 9ft, or 3c again.... it'll open a window to download an activeX again.... from here it's fairly straight forward... hit Next, Save, Next.. whatever's appropriate.
_____ Making a Shot
Now that we're at the pool table editor page.... we can get to the dirty stuff
Click the center of the table to activate the table, and allow you to click other things. Just 1 click... it's all it takes.
To start.... in the lower left corner... about where the corner of the cloth is... there's a little X or Wrench and a Question Mark for Help.
Click the Wrench... this gives a bunch of tools that we'll play with later on. For now... click a ball or two under the table, drag onto the green cloth and drop.. or let go of the left click on the mouse. I moved up the 1, 2 and the Cue Ball.
Now double click on the 1 ball.. we've got a line... go to the foot rail, center diamond, left click once... and then move over to the side pocket... now double click. See where I'm goin' with this?
Now go make a shot or 2... play around a little and get used to it.
____ Saving a Shot for later
We're going to be working with 1 page for now... because it's simple, and less confusing.
After you create your magic shot of the decade, we'd like to see it... and you'd like to show it of.
Well look to the icon on the FAR far right of the bottom rail... about the first diamond on the head end. See that little icon that looks kind of like a Lightning bolt with a red circle around it?
Click that.
This copies the entire cuetable layout/shot you just created to your clip board for copy/paste
Now go to AZ forums and post a thread.... Show off your shot, in your message thing.. down at the bottom click "Go Advanced" if the option is avalible...
then up above where you type things in... there's a little button that says WEI
Click that... then in between the ][ click there so you can type. Then RIGHT click, and click on PASTE.... OR just simply do CTRL+V on the keyboard. This will paste your cuetable layout and it will be displayed in your thread.
Go to the test area ( http://forums.azbilliards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8 ) and play around a bit... if you have any questions I'm more than happy to help... Don't bother PMing... I never check my inbox... but do post a reply to this thread. I'll check in about twice a day
Hope this helps!
