Cuetec Cynergy Shaft Initial Impression and Review

Didn't have any feedback for me. Felt like a dead hit. All the people that say they can't stand they way some of the hits sounds, that doesn't bother me in the slightest. Like everyone knows, it's all subjective to each individual. Everyone always talks about how awesome schon cues are, I always disliked their hit and feel. I honestly never thought I'd like any ld shaft or CF. I was always a custom cue guy with ivory joints and ferrules. Then as I was waiting for 4 custom cues I had on order I decided to give the Revo a go before I made fun of it and instantly fell in love.

not a fan of soft, dead feeling cues myself. that's why I never understood the love for SW cues. they feel dead. I like to know im hitting the cueball, and store the feeling in my brain, it helps with muscle memory as I know what certain speeds feel like.

I appreciate your input on those CF shafts. Did you get the sense that the Jacoby CF shafts has less deflection than the Cuetec? Just wondering. I wonder how the Cuetec CF compares with a "standard" low deflection shaft--some version of the 314, I guess. I don't feel like I have hit enough balls with a 314 to recall what it is like.

I have quite a few cues now and I enjoy playing with them all. And I'm not a serious competitor, just a Saturday player these days. Many "hit" and "feel" much better to play with than the 314. They give tremendous feedback and are enjoyable. But if I want to play my best, using the 314 is still, like stealing. It just makes the game way easier.

I was playing yesterday and going back and forth with a guy using one of my new cues. I was doing okay, but the competitive part of me decided I wanted to win every game so I pulled out the Predator cue. Shots that require more precise hits with english are easier with the 314 (for me). Sharper cuts are hangers. I can just trust it to deliver the cueball where I want it. And I STILL say the hit is not as good...but it performs.

I didn't hit with the Cuetec or Jacoby long enough to adequately judge their deflection. I liked the hit and feel of the Cuetec better though...and not nearly as pricey as the Jacoby. The Predator CF was no where near as good as a 314 to me.
