Cuetec pin for shaft work

Any available pin for Cuetec for shaft work on lathe? None found on Prather or Atlas and Cuetec reps haven't responded.

I always use a 5/16x14 pin works very well until you can a broken butt to take a pin out of.

Buy a set of joint protectors. That would probably work.

I believe the actual threading is 3/8x14...slightly modified. The threads are rounded a bit. If you use the 5/16x14 I would be concerned about the loose fit causing chatter, destroying the threads.
I may have a extra pin around from an old butt. I'll check tonight and let you know.

Sounds like the answer to me. I checked and don't have a spare pin, but the search caused me to cleanup and ended up rearrainging and organizing a bunch of stuff..
