Cuetec R360 (brown satin) v. Fury NA-6

Hi all, this is my first post. I was looking for a cue upgrade from my Excalibur> cue (not the Cuetec Excalibur but one by a company called Excalibur).

I really like the look of natural wood on cues, and would very much like to have one with natural wood and few if any inlays or overlays. However, I worry that this preference will limit my options and may lead me to buy a cue because of looks instead of functionality.

My budget being around 200 USD I have been looking at the Cutec R360 and the Fury NA series.

Both have nice natural wood options, though I greatly prefer the Fury NA 6.

The Cutec comes with an R360 Shaft and the Fury comes with a "12.75mm 29" Hard Rock Canadian Maple Shaft with Modified Pro Taper"

Both have the same tip and wrap, Tiger Everest and Irish Linen

The Fury has a "Fury Speed-Loc Joint"

Don't know what joint the Cutec has.

I'd like to know your opinions on these cues, especially from anyone that has used one or both.

I'd also like to know which you think I should choose and why.

(I am leaning towards the fury because it's much prettier IMO, but will go Cuetec if it really is quite a bit better.)

Really appreciate responses. thanks!!

Disclaimer - I sell Fury and Cuetec cues

Some things I can tell you about the Fury brand -

I have been to their factory and have seen first-hand their production process. Their "special-select" shafts are made from hand selected heartwood maple dowels from N America. All these shafts are stored and processed in a climate controlled building, regulating both temperature and humidity. The shafts themselves are turned down over time, so they take a pass, then the shaft goes into storage to acclimate. They are all stored vertically. Once the shaft is completed it is matched to a butt and hand finished.

The NA series cues are pretty darn sleek. The woods are great and show off their natural character well. The simple white rings add a little flair and keep the cue looking classy overall.

I've never been to the Cuetec factory, so I can't speak in great detail about their production process.

Thank you very much for your informative reply. It certainly has given me some comfort that Fury's have a great production process.

Has anyone visited the Cuetec Factory that can speak to their process?

I would also like to hear from anyone that has used these cues.

Thanks!.

Have you checked out Viking cues? They have two models (V-101 & V-103) that might be of interest to you as they seem to fit the description of the cue you want to buy. They're in the ballpark price-wise and come in different color transparent finishes to suit your tastes. No disrespect meant to the other brands you mentioned but I would choose a Viking over either one of those. Just my two cents, good luck in your search for a cue!

I have a 360 and love it, but I have also never really played with ne thing else besides a Mcdermott hustler.....alltho I can deff tell from the feel if Im not shooting with my 360
