Cuetec warranty work

I have a Cuetec Avid Era pool cue that I purchased about a year ago that had developed a crack in the pin collar on the butt half of the cue. It appears that they contract the work out because they had me send it to Imperial Sports located in Texas. They decided to just reissue a new cue stick to me which is fine but they sent me a different sized shaft. Instead of the 12.75 mm shaft I sent back to them, they returned an 11.75 mm shaft. I called them up and they are looking into it and will get back to me with directions on how to get me the correct size shaft that would match the original. They are probably going to tell me to ship this one back and they would then send me the correct size shaft in return. I really don't want to wait any longer because it's already been one month, and they will probably ask me to pay shipping to return the wrong size shaft. I don't feel like I owe them shipping costs again, and am wondering if I should just keep the 11.75 mm shaft because I already own another 12.75 mm shaft that fits the new butt end of the cue. If I get a 12.75 MM from them I will have two similar sized shafts to fit on this butt end which I don't really need, but if I keep the 11.75 mm shaft I don't know how much I would use that size. Does anybody enjoy using a shaft around 11.75 mm and would recommend that I would keep it instead of trading it back? Do I really need two 12.75 shafts?

12.5 is about my bottom limit on shaft diameter with at least the first 12 inches of the shaft at that diameter. I once owned a cue ( wood shafts) that came to me with a 12.75 and 11.75 shaft- I just did not like playing with the slim shaft- it sat unused. Why accept something that you may never use- make them get it right!
Imperial has a good customer service track record - it is a private company, family owned business with roots in pool going back 75+ years. They got involved with billiards when pool tables were first being installed in bars-- many, many years ago. Their head office is in NJ and I normally go to the top when any company is not responsive to my needs.
 
It's nice to have a back up of the same diameter in case the tip pops off while in an important set/ tournament.
I can count on two fingers the times that's ever happened to me, ymmv.
Nice to have something different to mess around with too.

Well, I called the Cuetec contractor, Imperial Sports usa, and they said they would send me the correct shaft and include a return label for the wrong shaft they sent me. This has been about a couple weeks now and I still have not received anything, after being told they would promptly send me a new shaft.
