heres some basic pics of cue #4 in my humble career as a cuemaker. haha, what a joke.

i wanted to take advantage of the tonal qualities w/ some of the wood that i have. and being new to cuemaking, i wanted to get to really understand the properties of wood, namely east indian rosewood, so i tried to use EIR throughout the core to see how it would sound and play.

anyhow, it's a radial pin, SS sleeve, curly maple forearm cored w/ EIR.

EIR handle, uncored; curly buttsleeve over the EIR tenon from handle. ring is as plain as it gets w/ some ebony.

4 is not a good number in korean culture and maybe that's why i had so many issues in making this cue.

for example, the pin, for some reason got all funky on me so i had to take it out and unfortunately plugged it w purpleheart and put pin in again, thereby kinda compromising my experiment. oh well. haha but turned out ok.

didnt weigh it but i figure its hi 18 to low 19.

pics are from my phone. i played around w/ the background because i couldn't really capture what the EIR looks like.

it's for my brother in law. was his birthday yesterday. ill let you guys know how it plays.

anyhow, enjoy.

Nice wood. EIR is an incredible tone wood. Hope your brother in law enjoys it.
