Curly maple

needs to be cored before it can be used. Otherwise you will have a warped forearm a bit down the road

Be sure your corewood is straight, dry, and straight-grained.
I still have a couple hundred ft of bloodwood left over from millwork jobs in DC. It is brash, & not a terribly stable material. That is, there are stable pieces, but the ones that aren't never will be. Love it as a material, though. Often use if for drawer slides, and even for window slides. Besides working well for slides, it leaves a nice smell in drawers.

Would roasted soft curly maple need to bed cored to as I have a piece of it to. Also would I still have to core for 12 inch jump fore arms? Thanks
