I'm looking in to having a curly maple shaft made for a Varney jump/break cue. Can any of you folks source me a blank and/or quote the job? ...or maybe just tell me I'm insane.

I have a couple of Mezz break shafts with curly maple. Really like the hit.
Try Schmelke for a curly maple blank.

Thanks for the reply - good to hear it's not a completely silly endeavor. Unfortunately it's harder to find a blank than I thought.
