Point gaps in a short splice forearm?

So who is making these gapless cues?

I see gaps on 4 point cues from all sorts of cue makers including Szamboti, Tascarella, Black Boar, among many others. I'd consider those to be very good cue builders.

Bob Dzuricky has made a few without gaps, IIRC.
 
I might regret bringing a specific name up, as I don't want to come across as bashing, but Barioni cues have the largest gaps I've seen aside from the 2-point Meucci's. I'm sure it's done on purpose, and that's just a style thing that some seem to like. Not really my cup of tea though.

It really depends if you like slender points or fat points I suppose. Not really right or wrong, although getting the gaps really close to touching is probably more difficult.

This is a cue I just recently sold that I think has the perfect amount of gap for my taste. If you look at the very base of the gap the width is pretty much the exact same as the width of the veneers used. I think having a small gap like that is visually ideal for a short splice cue.
