Custom cue makers comparison

I thoight i did?

Who knows if you will like either?
Neither likely to suffer from poor construction.

I was asking if you had personal experience with those brands and if you can share your thoughts. A generic half ass comment does not help.

Thank you, any recommendation for the joint diameter? .840?
What makes a Sugartree shaft better? If you sent it to Schmelke to "copy" it, wouldn't the result be the same?

The joint diameter I can't comment on because I'm not sure what mine is! Ha. My SugarTree shaft is an old growth and just plays really nice (in my opinion). The 3 Schmelke cues I have all had a little wobble in the shaft, but you didn't really notice unless you rolled them on the table. My ST shafts do not wobble. Side by side though, you will see and feel a difference between the Schmelke shafts (at least my 3) and a higher quality shaft. I'm sure they could copy the shaft taper and all, but there is a reason most of their cues are under $300ish dollars. I'll take a pic of them all later on and put it up here. Don't get me wrong though, I still think a nice Schmelke butt matched up with a high quality shaft will play very nicely, and I'm positive there are a lot of people that would out play me and my ST with a Schmelke cue.
