Cuemakers
It would be a little iffy having to deal with a cuemaker other than in person.
4-5 months is a pretty common time frame for a custom, depending on inlays.
Most cuemakers are half down, other half when finished. (A deal is not complete until the product is satisfactory to the buyer). With you being overseas, all money upfront makes sense.
Black with white spec does not look better than pure black, IMO. I have double pressed solid black Irish Linen wrap on my cue, and it looks way better, much classier.
I agree with previous comments, .2 or .3 oz difference is acceptable, .5 oz. would not be for me. The balance point of the cue would also be an issue for me if it was off from what I ordered.
