Custom Cues, Help Me Out Here

I have an Omen cue on order that is costing me quite a bit of money, so it is understandable that I do not want to take it with me every where I go. So I am looking to get a custom cue that plays the way I want but doesn't really catch anyones eye. I wanted to get either a Sneaky Pete or just a Plane Jane cue. The thing is I do not want to spend 500 to 1000 on it. My price range is around 250 to 350. So where I'm getting at is who makes the best sneaky petes or plane janes for the price that I am willing to spend. The more solid the hit, than the better off Ill be.
 
Custom Cue

In my opinion, it sounds like you are already working with a custom cue maker. Why don't you talk to him about what you are looking for. I'm sure he could come up with a couple different options for you and it could possibly have a similar hit which would make switching cues easier.
 
Well Al, it sounds to me like your the kind of guy that must go to a lot of places, so my advice would be to head to the nearest pawn shop and pick up one of their thirty-dollar specials, and take it home and spray paint it flat-black. I guarantee no one will ever come near it.
 
What about a Bob Frey SP? That would be just within your budget and IMO are great players
 
For that price you ll be able to get a lot of good Sneaky Petes- or just buy a 2nd -hand cue and install a very good shaft- that s all. I don t like to change cues- because every cue is different (as long it s not from the same cuemaker- i would ask Pete about it- perhaps he builds u a Sneaky Pete with the same abilities of your custom)
