custom ikon1

how much do you think would it cost me for this design? all white is ivory.

im thinking of buying predator ikon1 and custom it with this kind of design.

I'm not interested in the work because I don't do CNC inlay.
I can however, ask you a question that should get you some action
on this, one direction or the other.
You possibly have an idea what the IKON cue will cost correct?
Do you realize that you will have to multiply that number by 3, 4 maybe 5
times to wind-up with the cue you seek???

The cue is obviously already made. Find-out who built it and ask if he will make another.
You may find it to be considerably cheaper.

i'm no cue maker...but why would you want to use an ikon1 as the blank of this to begin with?

The Ikon1 has that lux leather wrap, and double nickel silver rings @ C D and E ring positions, which is not indicated in your sketch.

Heres the issues:
1 - Ikon1 will have to be supplied or purchased - Not many cue makers would want to use an IKON1 as a blank, quality control issue
2 - The double ringwork will have to be removed - requires taking apart handle and removing wrap
3 - Ivory Inlays and pockets will need to be cut and inlayed
4 - Cue completely refinished with linen.

With all the labor and initial costs, you'd be better off just ordering from custom cue maker, that way issues 1 and 2 go away.

I was not familiar with the Ikon1, so I had no idea of the existing ring work. I would guess the customer had not considered these things either, so your post is very helpful.
