Got hurt last year, and in spite of my best efforts, I can't play pool anymore without real pain. So, I decided to let go of a few of my cues now, hopefully to players who will appreciate them, and of course, get more out of them than me.
This is a J. Pechauer Custom cue, 19.5 oz. with a Universal SmartCue shaft that retailed at $1100, I bought it brand new from a dealer for $1000. I somehow broke the one of the shaft's joint while it was in the case. The other shaft is perfect. It was built with quick release joints, about two turns to lock them in.
I played this stick about a dozen times, never broke with it, never masseyed, never tried to jump with it. It has a nice solid hit. It has custom joint protectors that I had made for it (I think I spent around $100 for them). The stick rolls true, and there are no dings, marks, scratches, or imperfections of any kind on this stick. An interesting characteristic of this cue's handle is that the handle seems to change color depending on how the light hits it. It almost seems prismatic or holographic. I tried to capture the effect in the pics, but to really appreciate it you have to see it in person. The color will vary from the honey color in the top photo to a dark almost mohogany.
I tried to do some research on this stick, and as far as I can tell it's a one-off; I just haven't seen anything exactly like it. Maybe it's not a one-off, but for sure it's a very limited run cue. I'm asking $600 obo shipped/delivered, throwing in the joint protectors and the other shaft (it's probable that the shaft can be repaired) for free.
If you have any questions please PM me or post them here. I'll try to check on this every other day.
Peace.
