Hello all. I have been working on a custom pool table for a while now. I would like to see any pics of custom built pool tables anyone has. As for mine, It is a mission style table built out of purpleheart wood with ivory sights. I have 1in. brunswick slate that is hardwood backed. Pockets are rc designs tan leather with the tassels that cover the woven pocket. All I have left to make is the slate frame and the sub rails and rail skirts. I hope to finish it this winter. I will post some pics when it is looking more like a table than a pile of parts. Chris.

Hey Mike, I still haven't heard from you. It's been a while. I played you in a Clicks tourny in El Paso. I was really interested in your cues. What happened? Well anyway, Give me a buzz buddy. That's an awesome table. I can't remember who was telling me about it but someone spoke very highly of it when I was down there. Now I know why. You build an awesome table buddy.

custom table

The structural design is made by Kerry Rhodes of A Better Billiards Service (Kyther Tables) I can take most of the credit for the cosmetics design (sometimes we had to come to a mutual agreement) The reconstituted tuquois inlays were done on my cnc once the cue setup was removed. The design was obviously too nice to not use in a cue:rolleyes: I will post pics of it later. Having too many problems with even getting these loaded up before az's server going down (i'm guessing).

Very nice work and the wood selection came out great.
Looking forward to some additional details (thickness of slate, bumpers and cloth).

Hi GatzkeCues
That is a beautiful table! Did you make the markers on the rails
or did you buy them?

Rail sites

Yes I did design the rail sites in which I installed in a cue that a buddy of mine in El Paso insisted he had to have. The ones in the cue are just a little smaller as to fit with out cutting out the sides and with the cutting bits I use to still get the detail that it still would show. (if that makes sense?) I am thinking of making some matching cues if I ever get closer to catching up. Thanks for asking. I also appoligize if we got a hold of the hijacking the thread syndrome. I too would like to see some more custom table pictures. It took me a lot longer to know what I know about cues than it did to learn all the knowledge Kerry has taught me about tables. Hey Chris any chance of showing us what you have come up with so far? I tried to scan and upload a copy of the table certificate but could not get the file small enough yet. I definately need some practice and coaching to get this done right as it should obviously show. Gotta go for now need to spray some cues. Thanks again Mike Gatzke
