Custom shaft for Mezz?

Hmm.. Noticed there hasn't been a reply to this one.
I've got a Mezz myself and have toyed with the possibility of getting a custom shaft for mine as well.
The lack of response to this thread does not bode well.
To those cuemakers in the know, are the parts for making a Mezz joint hard to obtain or something? Imported only from Japan?
Any knowledgeable response is appreciated.
