Customized Lucasi L-E27 w/ Predator 314 FOR SALE

This cue belongs to a good friend of mine. I personally think it is one of the best looking Lucasi cues ever.
The L-E27 cue originally comes with a Uni-Loc joint, but this one has been tricked out and now has a Radial pin. This cue also comes with a Predator 314 Shaft.

The butt is in very good condition, with a few minor chip marks near the butt cap. It rolls 100% straight with and without the shaft, no wobble at all.
The shaft is in great condition as well, no nicks/dings and rolls perfectly straight.
The cue (along with shaft) has seen about 3-4 months of play.

Asking price is $370 (shipping included in the 48 states), or best offer.

I appreciate the input, but if the cue is in the $200 range, and it had the Radial pin modification, I'm sure that increases the value a bit (it cost around $100 to do)... on top of that the cue is selling with a Predator 314 shaft which should add on another $150.

That's $450 right there, but obviously I don't think it's going to sell for that much. The new asking price is $350 - and that should be the final price...

Thanks everyone :)

The problem is that changing the pin does not increase the value of the cue and definitaly does make it a custom cue. If any thing it decreased it because it may be impossible to get an original shaft for the cue from the manufacturer.

the thing with the joint change is that it doesnt add value to the cue. like when u re-wrap a cue for $150 dollars u cant say that it adds $150 to the value of the cue cuz the value of the cue originally included the wrap it had. if for example u remove it to put a new one on, then after removing the wrap it would drop the value (since the original price included the value of the original wrap) and when u replace it, it just puts the value back up there. re-wrapping with a lizard or leather wrap would increase some value if it originally had a linen wrap but in ur case, the joints cost exactly the same so changing it doesnt add value. heck i think uni-loc joints actually cost more from what i've learned by asking a few cuemakers.

as for the pred shaft, it doesnt increase the value by 150. u replaced the original shaft with the pred shaft. if u look at lucasi shafts they sell for around 70-80 and u can get brand new pred shafts for 160 or so from here if u ask around. so if anything it only adds around 80 dollars max to the value. but then again it's used so its probably more like 40 dollars (since production stuff tends to lose 50% of its value after usage).

so while all the stuff u had changed to the cue might have cost a lot, it doesnt nearly add as much value to the cue since u werent taking into consideration the cost of the original stuff on the cue. if i change the pin 5 times and it costs 500 dollars total, the net change in the value of the cue is 0 not 500.

I have a brand new one selling for $145 here thats wholesale though I would say $200 is a reasonable mark up for NEW Deduct the fact its used I would value the Cue maybe $200 with the predator shaft...

Well as agreed it looks like the market is about $200 for the cue,you might find someone who is crazy about it and get $250.;)

Again, thanks for all of the input guys...

This is not my cue, it belongs to a friend of mine. I'm just trying to get it sold for him.
To the person that said you can no longer buy a lucasi shaft for this cue -- Lucasi sells radial pin shafts.
For everyone else -- I understand how it goes, but the bottom line is there are people in the world who would want this exact model cue with a radial pin and 314 shaft.... those people could buy the cue, have the pin switched, and buy a predator shaft... or they could buy this one....

You think it sounds crazy that someone in the world would want to do that?....... well my friend did it, so obviously it's possible that someone would want it... if he saw it on here he would've jumped at it.

This thread it turning less into me trying to sell my friends cue, and a helpful comment about why I should lower the price, and more into a bunch of people making the exact same post over and over and becoming knockers... I sure hope none of you want to be knockers, do ya? :)

I like knockers....in an Al Bundy kind of way.....

It's a nice looking cue...can't take that away from it.

Seems to me that, by and large, most of the "custom cue nuts" (myself included) aren't turned on by a Lucasi...much less a modified one.

That said, though....most of us go to poolrooms filled with people that are not so "into" custom cues...and this one seems like it might suit a local player just fine.

I'll print out the pics, and farm them around the D.C. area for your friend. If I find a guy that might be interested, I'll be in touch with ya. Sound fair??

Thank you kindly. I agree whole heartedly with your statements - you are 100% correct.

We all know that Lucasi sells radial pin shafts but do they sell radial pin shafts with that ring work is the question??? Anyways If you read my post I said that "it may be impossible to get an original shaft for the cue from the manufacturer." Apon going to lucasi's site www.lucasipoolcues.com they say that use uni-lock and radial pins but it does'nt appear that they are selling any cues with redial pins. So the question still stands can you get a factory shaft with a radial thread and that ring work...

Here's my take on this situation: Lucasi does make a cue called the L-ER that does have a radial pin and the typical Lucasi boxcar design on it.

Also, if you go on the billiardwarehouse.com web-site, they are selling limited production run Lucasi cues based on Hoppe models, et cetera.

Joe Nielsen also gets normal Lucasi cues that just happen to be made with a radial pin instead of the traditional Uni-Loc.

I don't think AZE's friend bought a cue and then had the pin changed if some of you are wondering that. I just think he bought one of these "limited edition cues".

P.S. Yes, I am a ghost most of the time.

To my knowledge lucasi does'nt make a radial pin cue with a stainless steal joint. They are all wood or implex joints.. And Aze states that the pin has been changed in the original thread..

As an aside, like Squigy pointed out, Billiard Warehouse is selling some special edition Lucasi cues fashioned in a traditional Bushka style with radial pins. Pretty cheap to boot. A friend just picked up one of the cocobolo models, it's not a bad looking cue to be honest.
