Cutting an ivory cue ball up

Hi,

I have an old ivory cue and am curious about the best methods to get a joint and some ferrules out of it. Would a waterjet work? If the cutting is computerized, you can minimize how much waste you get, more ferrules and a purty joint.

Any thoughts or experience in here? Is there anyone who specializes in this?
