Hello. My question is: Do any of the AZBilliards cue makers have dacron wrap or possibly the nylon wrap used on the older Palmer cues. I am more interested in the Dacron. Looking for red and black.

Dacron can often be found in fishing stores. Some guys used the Dacron believing it had the look of Irish linen but when you do the wrap due to the taper of the cue it creates a swirling pattern and when finished looks very little like Irish linen and feels really different. Unlike nylon that can have like an itchy feel, I hate it, Dacron feels smooth and not to bad. Want something really cool, try Monel fishing wire. I saw one done and the wrap looked like silver. I don't know how good it would feel but for a show cue it would be neat. Or real silver wire for that matter.
 
Is Dacron wrap thicker than Nylon wrap? And how do you tell the difference?
 
Can anyone please tell me which is thicker Dacron or Nylon? And how to tell teh difference?
