I am helping the son of an old friend sell this late 70’s Dale Patten cue with a Fellini case.

His dad and I played out of the Golden Cue outside of Los Angeles in the 70’s and 80’s when he purchased this cue. The Fellini case was my old case I received from Danny Janes at Joss East along with one of his cues in 1979. I sold the cue and case to Bob in 1981.

This cue is made from a Burton Spain blank and not one of the cues Patten made and sold under the Richie Florence name. The cue and case are in good condition and the cue is straight with both shafts.

I purchased a cue from Dale around the same time that was from a Szamboti blank. Dale used the 5/16-18 pin on all his cues as far as I know and one of the reasons were so they would not be resold as Szamboti’s. Dale made about 20 cues per year.

The cue is ebony into birdseye with holly diamond inlays in the four inlaid points and below the Cortland wrap. The butt is 28.5 “ long and weighs 16.5oz. The joint is S/S with a piloted 5/16-18 pin.

One shaft is 28 ½” long and weighs 3.9 oz. The other shaft is 29” long and weighs 4.1oz. Both shafts have ivorine ferrules. Both tips are approx 12.75mm.
This cue is in great shape for a 30+ year old cue and there are Patten collectors out there, so make an offer. The Fellini case is in good shape with some minor scuff marks that show in the photos. More photos of the case are available.

SOLD
