This is a 1 of 1, its the only one in the world, and you can have the opportunity to buy it, Made by Dale Perry who is now retired from the realm of cuemaking. Signed by him too, 1 of 1.

I played with this cue for a bit, while I had some tips changed by Dennis on my 2 shafts, cue plays well really, could use a Kamui, not sure what tip is currently (ultraskin), but I bought it NEW because it was a wrapless and it looked nice on my wall for a year.

Shaft/Butt are straight, you actually
really won't be disappointed with this cue all jokes aside, its a good cue. Shaft is dead straight and weighs 4.4 oz

Priced at $460 shipped/insured.

Weigh In:

Butt 14.67
Shaft 4.39

Total 19.08

Calling it fire wood I would think the value would be around $100.
You knocked your own sale.

Its worth what someone will pay, as in all walks of life. If you think its worth $100 then its not for you.

If it doesn't sell, it goes back on my wall as poolroom/house decor, It's a beautiful cue either way.

Yes we all know garczar. We all know it's a piece of firewood, but..... It's still a nice piece of firewood.
Doesn't say much for Dennis Searing to make a comment like that about somebody's work. Arrogant SOB.

well he would know lol
I had an old Dale Perry that he built before he went to Ebay. Ivory joint and ferrules, 60" cue. A very good cue, played great. I won the yearly tournament at Riverbend Billiards in Alton, IL with that cue. Dale was building good cues then. His ebay cues were what you would expect to get for the money. They played decent and were straight but you would not get Mercedes Benz finish on them but they were worth what you got them for. Rather than degrade a person's work just keep your mouth shut. This shows a lack in character.

I have 3 1 0f 1's DP's. Nothing wrong with them. They play well and hold up. Not my position to comment on the price...that's between seller and a potential buyer. Fit an aftermarket shaft on and enjoy it. It is a smart looking cue.
I also have a pre-ebay. It's a finely made cue.

The Pre-Ebay era cues were fantastic, well finished, well balanced cues, as one would expect from any reputable cue maker, the ebay ones are excellent as well, contrary to what many think, and so many have bashed, they were some bad ones, but for the price point, you really couldn't go wrong, would take this over a lower end Viking, etc...and it really is 1 of 1. This one is from the last year he produced them here in FL, for many people who may/may not know, many angry DP owners, after he started selling his (mass production) cues online, though they were completely different finish/build quality from his High End cues, still, folks who had paid 1k/2k + saw these online for fractions less, and it left resentment/bad connotation per say, and its understandable, luckily here on this FORUM, we have knowledgeable players/collectors who can understand and see past all that at this point in time.

Nonetheless, at the end of the day its a piece of wood, a piece of art, a piece of history in time, for some its a past-time, a magic wand, a source of income, an extension of ourselves, we all love/cherish this game of pocket billiards, that we poke and push a ball around the table with, be it a Tascarella, a piece of wood, a Lucasi, a Searing, or a Sears & Roebuck....a cue.

Nicely stated. Good luck with the sale. And for the sake of conversation your cue is a collectable.

I just sold my pre E Bay era Dale Perry cue- it was made very well and played very well. I also once owned a DP E Bay era 1/1 cue and that one also played quite well and was constructed just fine.

I think, for the money Dale's cues both pre E Bay and also his E Bay era cues (1/1) are fairly good cue buys - I have seen a lot worse, I have owned $2,000+ "custom cues" where the butt sleeve inlays did not line up at all with the inlays in the points - some from the "Hall of Fame" makers.

Telling the truth is lack of character? You're gonna have a hard time in life

I just don't understand why someone trying to sell a cue would call it firewood.
just list the cue and a price and be done with it.
It's a nice looking cue but who is going to buy firewood?

It’s not like Dennis was going around openly bashing another Cuemaker. Some one asked his opinion on another cue and he gave an honest opinion. I see no problem with that. Dale would probably confirm the same. These were his later business “budget cues”. he wasn’t trying to Rock the cue world with these. Just make a decent player that if ya happened to leave it at the bar you wouldn’t be too heartbroken.
