Dp-r
I owned one of the EBAY DP cues and I must be honest with you, I hated it. I called Dale and told him the cue hit soft, the tip job was done sloppily with glue showing on the ferrule and the shaft provided a fair amount of deflection for a laminated shaft. He told me to play with it for a few weeks and to 'get used to it'. So, basically, I was stuck with it.
I had the Mexican Sunwood cue with the DP-R shaft and even an upgrade to a Talisman extra hard tip and it still hit like a bag of sand. To me, the OB-1 hits firmer than the DP-R, but they both have that cushioney, non-responsive hit. The core of the butt looking down at the pin wasn't even centered properly. That cue was an absolute joke. I had the chance to see one of my friend's cues and you could feel the inlays and the cnc work as if they were sticking out of the cue. I sold it 6 wks later for almost half of what I paid for it, and was happy to get that.
My suggestion to you, STAY AWAY FROM DP'S EBAY CUES.
I personally own a DP-411 and it hits nothing like the ebay cues. It has a firm, and solid hit with nice work done on the butt.

It's for sale with three shafts, one of them is a 314-2. It says 1 of 1 on it and it is well made, I think Dale himself probably made it as opposed to one his shop guys. Dale's cues were at one time highly desirable in the FL area, but he found a way to pump out a production line that in his eyes, apparently will give him success in the way of $$$$$. To me, this is not why cue maker's make cues, I believe they make cues because they love the game and take pride in their craftsmanship, the money just happens to follow.
