The table that these two professional players were playing on have 4 1/8" pockets and even with the relatively new cloth, they play TOUGH.
Darren confirmed what others have said; he hasn't been playing one pocket. A very busy schedule right now.
I don't think we have seen the last of Darren Appleton when it comes to one pocket and I am pretty sure his stake horse hasn't lost faith in him playing any discipline.
Danny Smith showed talent and poise that is seldom seen in 27 year olds, let alone, those playing one pocket at that age. He pocketed tough shots easily in the tight pockets and moved the cue ball around the table as if he were much more older and more experienced. I was impressed with his knowledge of one pocket but even more so by his skill and table presence.
Fight Night was a lot of fun at Lacy's Cue in Chalmette, Louisiana. Even Darren said it was one of the most beautiful pool rooms he had ever been in. Here's a guy who has traveled all over the world, impressed with our local pool room.
Now where's that grudge match (I mean Fight Night match) between Niel Feijen and Shane Van Boening?
Maybe they could have an under card match with John Schmidt and Danny Harriman........
