I have seen alot about Darrin's cues on AZ. Most everyone says how great they play and how well they are constructed, however, I see cue after cue in the for sale section that doesnt sell until the price is drastically reduced. Even the ones they try to raffle don't go. I was thinking about trying one so...chime in please.
thanks-jeff

HILL cues are WAY good.

Fit, finish and shaft quality was SUPER on the ones I've seen.

His service is also off the chart. I had a like new cue which I bought on the secondary market that developed a SLIGHT warp in the wrapless maple handle. Darrin replaced the handle at NO CHARGE!!

I bought a NEW cue , made by a prominant cue maker ( ALASKA) from a reputable dealer which also developed a warp in the handle. He also replaced the handle......for $400.

Thanks for the input. What kind of taper does he use on his shafts, or should I say, what other maker's shafts does his shafts resemble?
thanks again - jeff

The only one ive seen is Ike Runnels, real nice, stack leather,Ike dont miss much with it

I've had a few of Darren's cues and found an ebony/snakewood/ivory beauty that I decided to keep. He makes a great playing cue and the fit/finish is superb! Also, his shafts are by far the smoothest I've ever seen. Give Darren a call and talk to the man. I'm sure he can build whatever you want in a cue!

Jeff, if you're intrested in buying mine. I'll give you a week to check it out before you have commit to buying it.

Darrin builds a very nice cue . Excellent customer service. His cues also play very well. When reselling you just need to find the right buyer.

I had a Hill wrapless cue. The only reason that I sold it at all was that it was 60" and a hair long for me. It hit like a monster ! I still have a 58" 19.1 oz Hill sneaky that hits as well as any cue I've ever owned. Too bad that I have three sneakies, and another is favored due to matching my main players dimensions by the cuemaker. I use a sneaky once a week, so this one is a case queen. I'd ship it on a trial basis to the right buyer with a track record...Tom

I will be visiting Darrin Hill in a bit. Hopefully he will let me take a few pictures of his shop so I can show here on AZ.
