Dave Piona Gone?

I've seen Dave around a number of times at different California and Sands tournaments. The thing I remember most about him was how much he really seemed to love the game and the comradery that goes with it.

I will remember him as one of the true ambassadors of the game.

The importance of the Break ...

I could just hear him, never give up, go get him, keep believing, what a coach and mentor!

Thanks Dave for all the encouragement, the great smiles, the friendly hand shakes and all the good moments!

in memory of dave

The last time i played our one pocket game together, I won. It was the only time I won. To this, I am donating 1/2 of these winnings to Faith Network. My condolences to Dave's family.

Doug Klisch is my grandpa. Love to see this! My dad handed down his cue to me, which was stolen out of my car in 2015.. I got back into APA last year and wouldn't ya know it.. I came across a guy with his cue. I had to buy it off him, but I got it.. I miss seeing all the pictures up at Hardtimes.

In the 3rd photo you can see Doug Klisch sleeping. Dave would do this often to people while running rack after rack.

In the 4th photo it is Dave sitting with Jay Swanson (I may be wrong) and the player on the right is Rudy Jurez.

In the last photo it is Paul Brienza with his back to the camera, Al "the Plumber" Wichenbaugh is sitting next to Ted Ito and "Kimmer".
