Davenport wins in Riverside!!!

There's a hill-hill (11-10) taped match of Keith McCready playing Morro and Morro gives him some serious slug racks. The look on Keiths' face afterwards is priceless...hands waving, sour look, the whole deal. Morro gets him at least 3 or 4 times. Buddy Hall is laughing on the commentary its so bad.

This is a very good point. As JAM said, people should not be arbitrarily calling for a re-rack, but if you don't walk up and examine every rack you will never know if it is good or not. I'd guess at least *some* Pros deliberately try to keep their opponents so cowed that they will never venture to question the rack they are giving them.

Although I am hardly an expert at such things, only having played in low-end local tournaments, I have taken to standing at the foot-end of the table, parallel to the rack chalking my break cue, instead of waiting at the head end. If you get into the habit of doing this every single break your opponent soon realizes you are always watching what they are doing, even though you are not necessarily leaning over to inspect every rack closely. To me this is a good compromize in politeness over self-interest.
