Works well for me, too. I've been using this since shortly after Dave put it on the commercial market. I use it on my own table (9' Murrey w/860 Simonis) with the occasional cleaning. I also clean the 2 8' Valley barboxes at the American Legion here in Oak Harbor on a weekly basis.
I get the best results by vacuuming first, then applying the Quick-Clean afterwards. The best advice I can give on the cleaner is to get it up off the table while it is STILL WET!!! If you let it dry, then it just breaks down into table dust and settles all the stuff back down inside the fabric.
It works by first breaking the oils down into solids, then encapsulating all of these solids, including cue chalk and hand chalk dust, and, as the capsule expands, migrating to the surface of the fabric. This all happens in an extremely short time span -- like 3-5 seconds or so. It remains damp for about 45 seconds, so you have plenty of time to get it off of the table.
I have found that you have to rub the rails a little to get them clean, but the simple wipe-off is "aces" on the table bed. I suggest that, to make this work best and easiest if you plan to use this a lot in the future, get the "Micro-Fiber Wiper," too. It costs about $30 -- you may be able to find an adequate and cheaper substitute in one of the "depot" stores or Walmart. It's kind of a squeegee-looking thing -- here's a picture of it from Dave's site:

With this thing, I can apply the cleaner to a 9' table and have it up and ready-to-play in about 30 seconds (you do NOT have to wait for this to dry in order to play!)! I have found (because I am right-handed, if this makes any sense) that, after application of the cleaner, the wiper works BEST if I start at the LEFT FOOT of the table and wipe TO THE HEAD and then BACK to the foot. Then do the same with the center of the squeegee at the center of the foot-rail, foot>head>foot -- and then, the same thing one more time on the right side of the table.
I do this because, for some reason, if the cloth has a knap, I like to lay it in the direction toward the foot of the table. I believe this idea was in the old instructions for how to properly brush down a table. DO NOT PRESS DOWN upon the Wiper -- just drag it along the surface of the cloth under its own weight.
The same applies if you are just using a simple cloth to remove the cleaner from the table.
When this wiper gets full of gunk, all you have to do is give it a REAL GOOD rinsing with lukewarm water and hang it out to dry. It takes a LONG time to dry (like, OVERNIGHT) and also needed a little help from my hair dryer to speed it along a little.
The Quick-Clean DOES brace/refurbish the fabric to some degree with each application, just as Dave claims, and makes it look almost new -- and, as Dave also claims, my own experience has consistently been that it extends the life of the cloth far more than the cost of the cleaner.
If you get any "burn" marks in your cloth, get a silk or nylon cloth, spray some cleaner on it and rub the marked areas BEFORE you apply the cleaner to the whole table. This leaches some of the cloth color from the neighboring areas into the marks and they "disappear" as the color becomes uniform.
DO NOT FALL FOR the claims of Dave's
rip-off competitor, Chalk-Off. Dave's product is original, patented and FAR SUPERIOR to the other product. Quick-Clean IS NOT A KNOCK-OFF of some other fabric cleaner that you can find cheaper in some other package at Walmart or Autozone. Unlike any of the other fabric cleaners or Chalk-Off, Quick-Clean PROTECTS the fabric and does not damage it in any way.
Dave's formula is PROPRIETARY, developed through over 5 years of personal formulation and testing. He has continued to make minor improvements in this product since it first went to market. This is why he stands by and guarantees his cleaner.
The only other thing I can say is that a single can is pretty expensive (2 cans for $24.95 + shipping). If you KNOW you are going to use this constantly over a long period of time, the smart way is to buy the CASE of 12 cans. I ordered a case about a month ago and it cost me about $85 SHIPPED.
This breaks down to slightly over $7 per can. I get at least 14, and usually 16, applications per can, but this is mixed between my 9' table and the 8' barboxes at the Legion. So, let's say you only do 9' tables and get only 12 applications per can -- this comes out to just under $0.60 per application.
Even at a very conservative estimation of applications per can, you can see that this is DAMN CHEAP!!!
So, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
BTW, I think the best way is to deal with Dave DIRECTLY on the phone rather than through his website, regardless of the size of your order. He is easy to get ahold of and is fun to talk to -- he will go out of his way to see that you are satisfied.
