Recently, regional pool tours have gotten into the habit of separating varied skills into separate brackets. Sometimes the two brackets will come together at the end, combining (one example) four competitors from each of the brackets and letting them play out a small bracket for an overall title. Sometimes the brackets will never separate and crown two champions instead.
