Davis Follows Dad Steve

I remember this, it was at least a few years ago. I noticed the high break of 114, but it also said high match break. So we don't really know if that's tournaments only, league only or what. There is every chance that he is knocking in clearances regularly in practice matches or solo practice, the latter still not being good enough to compete with the best but it's a start. In the article it indicates that he's been in university and only treating snooker as a hobby, so I wouldn't be surprised that a low high break would be due to only sporadic competition.

That said, who knows he has his dad helping him I'm sure so he probably has better access to top quality practice partners than a lot of the guys trying out.

God, he was a tedious tit as a player.

He certainly didn't have the baggage of O'Sullivan, Allen, or Alex Higgins.
What he brought to the table was sanity, and the best snooker of his time.

If you find sanity boring....well, that's just crazy.:smile-us-down:

O'Sullivan and Higgins inspired many millions to play or watch the game. I doubt Davis did.

No more (anti) heroes anymore.
