Thanks, Michael. Funny thing was, I was sitting at the bar working on my 2nd one and realized I was getting looped. Now I don't consider myself much of a light weight and then it hit me: it was practically midnight and what with the gawking and sweating and waiting for the draw, and then waiting for the draw, and then waiting for the draw, and then playing a match, I hadn't eaten all day and it was like midnight. Burger at the bar fixed me right on up and many more were consumed

I watched a lot of the TAR broadcasting and it was entertaining enough that I hope they continue to do it. What strikes me though is I find your sharing of your personal experiences just as entertaining and compelling. Maybe it is just that I happen to like the written word or perhaps I enjoy reading a personal take on a public event.

Whatever the case, thank you for sharing your insights into the event.

Thanks, Catahula. It's my pleasure and am glad some get a kick out of these personal stories. Like I said somewhere else: no two people have the same DCC experience, so I think it's interesting to read different takes.

Great post Lou. Glad to see that you took a deep breath & enjoyed yourself.

Greg & Mark Griffin are the two best things going in pool. Any support a player or a fan can give, should be given. The DCC and the May - Vegas tournaments are huge undertakings & I envy the ability of these two men to organize each event. Sure each have flaws & people will have different opinions, but as a whole these are great events that the pool world would surely be at a loss if they were not held.

Thanks, watchez. And you're absolutely right: Greg and Mark have created something very special and I've been saying for years that, if you love pool, you must go. Sometimes I have trouble following my own advice
